EIPM Founding Members
2010
- In December, EIPM is entering its 20th year.
- Opening of the EIPM Chinese branch in Shanghai.
- Opening of the EIPM Brazilian branch in Rio de Janeiro.
- Launch of the “Purchasing Organisation Assessment” in partnership with EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management).
- Launch of the “EIPM Excellence Award of the Year” with the support of EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management).
- Trophy of "The Global companies Purchasing and Supply Management Strategies leading to sustainable SME’s development” awarded by CDAF (Compagnie des Dirigeants et Acheteurs de France: French Purchasing Association) for the EIPM Advanced Cost Analysis tool.
2009
- Signature of an agreement with IACCM in USA (International Association Commercial Contract Management).
- Launch of EIPM standard training courses in USA and Italy.
- Purchasing Trophy 2009: victory for AXA and EIPM in the category “Evaluation and development of purchasing performance” awarded by CIPS (The Chartered Institute of Purchasing of Supply).
2008
- Award of the Best Assessment Tool of the Year awarded given by CDAF (Compagnie des Dirigeants et Acheteurs de France: French Purchasing Association) for the EIPM on-line talent assessment tool.
- Purchasing Trophy 2008: victory for AXA and EIPM in the category “Evaluation and development of purchasing performance” awarded by CDAF (Compagnie des Dirigeants et Acheteurs de France: French Purchasing Association)
2007
- Agreement concluded with the Chinese National Purchasing Association.
- Development of a new Framework with EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management).
2006
- Organisation of the Annual EFMD MBA Directors Meeting.
- Launch of the first Asian Round Tables in China and in Japan.
- Opening of the EIPM branches in USA, Japan and South Africa.
2005
- Bernard GRACIAbecomes member of the IPSERA Board (International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association).
- Organisation of the world conference of IPSERA (International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association).
- Launch of standard programmes in China and implementation of courses in Chinese and Japanese.
- Accreditation of the EIPM MBA by AMBA (the Association of MBA’s). It is the unique Executive MBA specialised in Purchasing and Supply Management.
- The EIPM launches its online European Salary Survey.
- The EIPM launches standard programmes in China and implements courses in Chinese and Japanese languages.
2004
- Launch of the EIPM Purchasing Assessment tool driving the EIPM Job Referential.
2003
- Implementation of the EIPM Certified Trainings (CAPC) fitting the different job profiles to develop expertise for each position (Buyers, Expert Buyers, Management, Executives).
2002
- Launch of the EIPM blended learning process mixing distance-learning and face-to-face learning.
2001
- Launch of the EIPM Research platform.
2000
- Launch of the EIPM summer workshop dedicated to Purchasing and Supply Chain Executives.
1999
- Launch of the EIPM on-line training support.
1998
- Training of participants worldwide through tailor-made programmes.
1997
- Launch of the EIPM Certified Advanced Purchasing Course (CAPC) for newcomers to the Purchasing function.
- Launch of the EIPM Service Sector Club.
1996
- Launch of the first EIPM Annual Purchasing Conference.
1993
- To support companies in the development of their Purchasing operations, EIPM offers Tailor-Made training programmes and carries out field assignments.
1992
- Launch of the first EIPM European Round Table for Senior Purchasing Executives as a forum for top Purchasing Executives to exchange ideas on Purchasing practices and strategies.
1991
- Launch of the EIPM MBA programme specialising in Purchasing and Logistics.
1990









- Creation in December 1990 by top leading companies - Alcatel, Aérospatiale, Amae, Bull, Cerestar (Ferruzzi), Herberts (Hoescht), Nokia, Pechiney, Philips, Renault - and sponsored by the European Commission, the Rhône Alpes Region and the Haute Savoie department to create an European Executive Education and Training Centre in Purchasing Education.
